Déjà Vu Residencies

“Working with Kari Margolis on DÉJÀ VU has immensely challenged my original understanding about what theater really is.”

— Michelle Manygoats, Fort Lewis College Student

Show Description

DÉJÀ VU is an opportunity to share in a dream state with our eyes wide open!

While dreams are a celebration of our creativity and humanity, the hectic schedules of our waking lives often keep them trapped in our unconscious.

In DÉJÀ VU, everyday objects suddenly become phantasmagorical and characters and scenery melt away and transform unexpectedly.

Characters are caught in labyrinths, fly through the air, are chased by demons, and find hope and wisdom in the man on the moon.

The theme of DÉJÀ VU has been explored by multiple universities and each student ensemble has contributed to making their production unique.

“I loved every moment of working on DÉJÀ VU. I think after an experience like this one, it will be difficult for anyone involved to go back to their old methods onstage.“

— Erin O’Connor, Fort Lewis College Student
